This section provides a detailed overview of simulation activity, allowing school or university admins to monitor progress, gender distribution, and geographic diversity in RealLives simulations.
Lives in Progress:
Shows the total number of active simulations currently being played by users (e.g., 67).
Complete Lives:
Indicates the number of simulations that have been fully completed (e.g., 7).
Gender Distribution:
Breakdown of the genders represented in simulated lives:
Male Lives: Displays the number of male characters in simulations (e.g., 41).
Female Lives: Displays the number of female characters in simulations (e.g., 33).
The "Lives by Location" feature in your RealLives Simulation dashboard offers an interactive view of where simulations have been played worldwide. This tool helps you, as a school admin, track activity, analyze diversity, and encourage exploration among students.
i] Map Interface
The world map provides a comprehensive visual of simulated lives:
Blue Markers with Numbers: These represent clusters of lives in specific regions. For instance, there are 13 simulations in Italy and 7 in South Africa.
Red Pins: These denote individual simulated lives in specific countries, such as Canada and Papua New Guinea.
By examining these markers, you can quickly identify where simulations are concentrated and areas that may require more exploration.
ii] Data Summary
Below the map, key statistics summarize global engagement:
Countries Covered: Students have explored 61 out of 193 possible countries, showcasing global diversity in their simulations.
Progress Bar: This indicates that 32% of the world has been covered through simulations, highlighting the need to encourage students to explore lesser-known regions.
This section of the RealLives Simulation dashboard helps school and university admins analyze the types of simulated lives and their alignment with SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). It provides an overview of life types, group activities, and the most frequently addressed SDGs.
Key Features:
i] Distribution of Life Types
A circular chart visually represents the distribution of simulated lives based on their type:
Group Lives (Highlighted): Shows the number of lives simulated using groups (e.g., 35).
Legend for Life Types:
Orange (Random Life): Lives generated randomly.
Yellow (Design a Life): Lives customized by students.
Green (SDG): Lives aligned with SDGs.
Dark Green (Life with Assignments): Lives created as part of classroom assignments.
Light Green (Life Using Groups): Lives simulated collaboratively in groups.
Blue (Age Skip Life): Lives where players skip age milestones to explore different life stages quickly.
ii] Top 4 SDGs
Displays the most frequently selected SDGs and the number of lives associated with each goal:
Goal 1 (No Poverty): Lives addressing poverty challenges (e.g., 2 lives).
Goal 2 (Zero Hunger): Lives exploring food security (e.g., 2 lives).
Goal 5 (Gender Equality): Lives promoting gender equality (e.g., 2 lives).
Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being): Lives focusing on health challenges (e.g., 0 lives).
This section provides a detailed summary of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) selected by students while creating lives in RealLives Simulation. It helps school and university admins understand how simulations align with global challenges and educational priorities
This section allows school and university admins to monitor players' contributions to organ donation and track their key life events and expressions within the RealLives Simulation.
i] Organ Donation Overview
Icons represent the status of different organ donations made by the player:
Liver, Eyes, Heart, Kidney, Lungs, Skin: Marked as "Not yet donated" if no donations have occurred.
Blood Donation: Tracks the number of blood donations made (e.g., Donated 1 bottle).
This data highlights the player’s contributions to health and societal causes.
ii] Player Expressions
Displays a summary of player interactions or notable events:
Expression Recorded: Shows a key life event and the player’s reaction or comment.
Example: "You were born today, a girl, in Syria."
Expression: A comment or thought expressed by the player (e.g., "niceee").
Details: Includes the player's name (Adelmira Alfagaari) and country (Syria).
