1. My Gameplay Data: Progress and Insights

This section provides a detailed overview of simulation activities, helping teachers/professors monitor progress, gender distribution, and geographical diversity within RealLives simulations.

Ongoing Lives:

Displays the total number of simulations currently in progress by the user (e.g., 67 ongoing).

Completed Lives:

Indicates the number of completed simulations (e.g., 7 completed).

Gender Distribution:

Shows the distribution of genders represented in the simulations:

  • Male Lives: Number of male characters simulated (e.g., 41 male lives).

  • Female Lives: Number of female characters simulated (e.g., 33 female lives).

2. Lives by Location: Monitoring Geographical Participation

The "Lives by Location" feature offers an interactive visualization of simulation locations worldwide from the RealLives Simulation Dashboard. It helps teachers/professors track activities, analyze diversity, and encourage students to explore new regions.

i] Map Interface

The world map provides a comprehensive visualization of simulated lives:

  • Blue Number Markers: Represent clusters of lives in a specific area. For instance, 4 simulations were conducted in India, and 9 simulations in the Middle East.

  • Red Pins: Denote individual simulations in specific countries (e.g., Canada and Russia).

Reviewing these markers helps quickly identify concentrated simulation locations and regions that require further exploration.

ii] Data Summary

Below the map, key statistics summarize global participation:

  • Explored Countries: Shows 55 out of 193 countries explored during simulations, highlighting global diversity.

  • Progress Bar: Indicates that 28% of the world has been explored through simulations, emphasizing the need to encourage students to discover less familiar regions.

3. Distribution and SDG Insights: Monitoring Life Types and Goals

This section helps teachers and professors analyze simulated life types and their alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It provides an overview of life types, group activities, and the most frequently addressed SDGs.

Key Features:

i] Distribution of Life Types

A pie chart visually categorizes simulated lives by type:

  • Group Lives (Highlighted): Number of lives simulated collaboratively in groups (e.g., 52 group lives).

  • Life Type Legend:

    • Orange (Random Life): Randomly generated lives.

    • Yellow (Design a Life): Customized lives created by students.

    • Green (SDG): Lives aligned with SDGs.

    • Dark Green (Life with Assignments): Lives created as part of classroom assignments.

    • Light Green (Life Using Groups): Collaboratively simulated group lives.

    • Blue (Age Skip Life): Lives that skip age milestones for rapid exploration of life stages.

ii] Top 4 SDGs

Displays the most frequently selected SDGs and the number of lives associated with each goal:

  • Goal 1 (No Poverty): Lives addressing poverty issues (e.g., 4 lives).

  • Goal 2 (Zero Hunger): Lives exploring food security (e.g., 4 lives).

  • Goal 3 (Gender Equality): Lives promoting gender equality (e.g., 4 lives).

  • Goal 13 (Climate Action): Lives focusing on climate challenges (e.g., 4 lives).

4. SDG Overview: Tracking Goal Alignment

This section provides a detailed summary of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) selected by students while creating lives in RealLives simulations. It helps teachers/professors understand how simulations align with global challenges and educational priorities.

5. Organ Donation and Expressions: Tracking Contributions

This section allows teachers/professors to track players' organ donation contributions and key life events or expressions in RealLives simulations.

i] Organ Donation Overview

Icons represent the status of various organ donations made by players:

  • Liver, Eyes, Heart, Kidneys, Lungs, Skin: Marked as "Not Donated Yet" if donations have not occurred.

  • Blood Donation: Tracks the amount of blood donated (e.g., 1 pint donated).

This data emphasizes players' health and social contributions.

ii] Player Expressions

Summarizes players' interactions or notable events:

  • Recorded Expressions: Highlights key life events and players' reactions or thoughts.

    • Example: "You were born dead today."

    • Player Expression: Opinions or thoughts shared by the player (e.g., "OMG, I am dead already").

    • Details: Includes the player's name (Adao Faisao) and country (Micronesia).
